Dropped a star because there's no mention on the website that the hotel is inside the Glasgow Low Emissions Zone (LEZ). This meant we incurred a £60 fine parking next door in the Q-Park. Would have been nice to know in advance.
Less than a five minute walk to the station, and about ten to the main square - really handy. If you park in the Q-Park on Waterloo Street you save money, and it cost us £35 for two days instead of just over £50.
Rooms are lovely, with huge beds, a mini fridge, and hot showers. The decor is quirky too.
There were multiple times that we passed reception when there was no staff present, which feels weird to me. Not a good look seeing people wait around. However, the staff themselves are lovely and helpful.
We didn't eat in the restaurant for breakfast or dinner, but I will say that the menu looked really uninspiring when you have the whole of Glasgow on the doorstep for great food.
Finally, I didn't spot a wheelchair-accessible entrance. There are steps up to the main revolving door (which wouldn't fit a wheelchair in anyway) but assuming that there is one somewhere.
We will definitely be back, this place is great.
Very nice, helpful staff. Good variety of food for breakfast.
Rooms decorated not really in my style(a bit weird, green glow), but overall fine. There is something weird about the building. You can hear people upstairs walking.
It would be great to have some vegetables served for breakfast.
Coffee could be a bit better.
Overall good experience tough!!
Stayed here for a Christmas night with my friends and it was wonderful! We requested rooms near each other and we were given adjoining rooms which was even better and we were able to check in a few hours early too. The staff were all so friendly and helpful, I wish I could remember their names but everyone we Interacted with (reception, bar etc) was so welcoming. We had booked the bar out for our Christmas function (pretty last minute too) and we had a whole massive section to ourselves & they let us play our own music too, it was truly amazing. We hope to book this hotel again for our next Christmas get together. Thankyou for making our weekend so brilliant!
The rooms are small, so it looks like they just did a facelift on the rooms recently. All the plug ins, doors, light switches, and main things are very dated. The bathroom shower would not drain properly, you can see spots on ceiling and walls. However they have very comfortable beds and a great breakfast. The staff is amazing.
This hotel is perfect! The room was large, clean and comfortable with beautiful decor. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. It is in a quiet area of the city but only a short walk to the busy part. The reception area and dining area is spacious, light and well decorated.
Great stay, room was a wee bit cold but found a radiator in the wardrobe which solved that. Really comfy bed abs great shower.
Breakfast had loads of choice which was great. Unfortunately the cooked breakfast from the kitchens was cold every day 😩
Great location and great service by all the staff that we encountered! However felt that the rooms were pretty dated or perhaps the style was not to our liking.. props for the comfortable bed, and wonderful breakfast selections though. They …
Great place to stay in Glasgow, right in the centre and right by the train station. The rooms are beautiful and we only stayed in a standard! Parking is next to the hotel and there’s a lovely bar and restaurant if you would like to eat …
